8th Grade Promotion Party


Every student attending must complete a permission slip & PTA event waiver - due 5/11


We need volunteers to help with set up, photography, group leaders, virtual celebration organizer and more.

Since this is an on-campus activity, during the school day, all volunteers need to be cleared.  Verify your clearance is up-to-date on Be A Mentor.  If not, email Debbie Gilfillan,, in the school office and she will set you up with Be a Mentor access. 


It takes a lot of supplies to put on an event like this!  Is there something you can donate or let us borrow for the celebration?

All students must rsvp

  • Not Attending (must attend Periods 6 & 7 or receive an unexcused absence)
  • Session A or B (see below)
  • Virtual Session

There are two time slots (Session A or Session B) available with 6 groups per session. 

  • Pick a session and sign your student up for one group
  • If they want to be with friends, have everyone sign up for the same group

There will be two parent volunteers per group as they rotate through the activities.  

Students and volunteers are to wear masks at all times, hand sanitizers and wipes will be provided.


Session A -

  • Check-in 11:45-12pm
  • Event 12-1pm 
  • Please pick up promptly at 1pm so we have time to get ready for the next session.

Session B -

  • Check-in 1:30-1:45
  • Event 1:45-2:45pm 
  • Please pick up promptly by 3:00pm as the event must be wrapped up by then

  • 8th graders ATTENDING the event are excused from Periods 6 & 7 and do not need to log in to classes for the rest of the day
  • 8th graders who do NOT attend the event need to go to class as usual
